Wayside Chapel has been a beacon of hope and compassion for over 50 years, serving the most vulnerable members of our community. Founded in 1968 by Reverend Ted Noffs, the organization has remained committed to its mission of providing support and care to those who need it most.
In the early days, Wayside Chapel focused on supporting homeless youth and young adults, recognizing that this demographic was particularly at risk. The organization quickly expanded its services to include food, clothing, and medical assistance, as well as spiritual guidance and counseling.
Today, Wayside Chapel continues to evolve and adapt to meet the changing needs of our community. While still serving the homeless and marginalized, we also provide support to those struggling with addiction, mental health issues, and other challenges.
At Wayside Chapel, we believe that every individual deserves dignity and respect, regardless of their circumstances. That's why our services are designed to address the whole person - body, mind, and spirit.
Our medical clinic provides access to primary care, mental health counseling, and substance abuse treatment. We also offer education and job training programs to help individuals gain the skills they need to break the cycle of poverty and achieve long-term stability.
By addressing these physical, emotional, and spiritual needs, we empower our clients to take control of their lives and make positive changes. This holistic approach has been shown to be incredibly effective in reducing recidivism rates and improving overall well-being.
Wayside Chapel is more than just a service provider - we're a community that cares. Our staff and volunteers are dedicated to building relationships with our clients, rather than simply providing services.
We believe that everyone deserves to be seen, heard, and valued. By taking the time to listen and understand each person's unique story, we can begin to address the root causes of their struggles and provide targeted support.
Join us in our mission to serve with love and compassion. Together, we can make a difference in the lives of those who need it most.
